Who is GLAAST?

GLAAST GmbH was founded in early 2018 in Bensheim, Germany.

The name GLAAST stands for

The name is new in the market, but we are not!

GLAAST is an association of former key technical employees and partners of the company Bridgestone, which was present on the EVA market for laminated glass and photovoltaics for over 30 years.

GLAAST’s mission is to continue and then expand the tradition of unique Japanese developed EVA based lamination films for glass lamination.  

This via the application of special ‘calendared‘ production and design techniques to offer significantly higher performance than other generic and normally ‘extruded‘ forms of EVAs – and also PVBs – as well as in some key areas Ionomers.  

GLAAST has created a new specialist material partnership – which can produce to GLAAST’s design and philosophy in large capacities in both Europe and Asia.

GLAAST products already offer highest in market performance matrices for the applications being addressed.

GLAAST also continues to offer special products made of EVA and POE for encapsulation in solar modules in photovoltaics.
